The Madrid contest jury
surrendered to the flavors of
these exotic combinations, extra
sweet strawberry with port wine and banana from Madeira and clementine and rum
eclipsed the competition of over 30,000 products and scooped the first prize at
the XXVII Salón Goumet .
Jorge Ferreira da Silva
and Andreia Ferreira da Silva are brothers and co-founders of the award winning
company which began creating integrated and organic fruit jams of traditional
Portuguese flavors inside tubes, a concept which has proved to be a hit
amongst the public.
Meia Dúzia issued a press release which mentioned the importance
of the prize as the way to help improving global recognition they want to
achieve as
producers of gourmet jams and
high quality products. The participation in the contest is aligned with on the
brand’s internationalization strategy and the search for new markets,
reinforcing the commitment to the Spanish market.
