Portuguese wines won 28 medals in Latin America

Portuguese wine stood out in the VII International Wine Competition in Brazil, which was held at the Hotel & Spa do Vinho in the Vale dos Vinhedos, Serra Gaúcha. Portugal earned 28 medals in total, being the second most awarded country.

The initiative was organized by Brazilian Enology and Inner Publisher Association, which is responsible for several publications of the sector, during the 8th and 11th April. The event is the largest wine competition in Latin America and included 709 samples from 78 countries, representing an increase of 41% compared to the previous edition.

The results of the VII International Wine Competition of Brazil will be widely disseminated during the Expovinis 2014, an event that will take place in the next 22^nd to 24^th of April.
